Getting Cheap Car Loans in the UK

Do You Need a Cheap Car Loan?

When you want to purchase a car yet funds prove hard to come by, you can consider finding cheap car loans. Car loans can help you get your preferred car, be it brand new or reconditioned. This is because car loans are geared to meet your individual needs.

Depending on your fiscal status and specific requirements, a number of lenders will be able to offer cheap car loans that you can choose from.

There are basically two factors that determine the interest paid on car loans:

(1) These are the amount you would like to borrow, and
(2) The terms through which you want to borrow that amount.

The car loans are categorized into several groups, which include unsecured car loans, secured car loans, low rate car loans, cheap car loans, refinance car loans, used car loans, and bad credit car loans among others.

This means that while you have a poor credit score, you will still be able to get appropriate types of car loans. Of course, these types of loans usually have a higher interest rate pegged on them.

3 Main Categories of UK Car Loans:

Although there are many categories of car loans, THREE of them are the ones given more often, and we will here take a closer look at them.

(a) Cheap Car Loans: Just as the name implies, the overall costs of cheap car loans are low. They generally have fewer charges and low APR. These loans are well suited for people with good credit history. There are two main factors that will determine whether you can get cheap car loans, being your credit score and the policy of the lender you are dealing with.

(b) Secured Car Loans: These are loans which are given against some kind of collateral, which may be different assets or property, including the car to be bought itself. In case a borrower does not repay, the lender may seize the car. It is generally easier to get secured car loans since the lenders have some security due to the fact that they may take hold of the secured property.

This also results in lower interest rates. Several factors will influence the amount of loan you get, examples of which are your credit history, the value of collateral, repayment period, the model of car to be bought, and the lender's policy. If you have a good credit score, you should take advantage of this option.

(c) Unsecured Car Loans: those who either have nothing to offer as collateral, or do not want to offer anything opt for unsecured car loans. Although none of your assets will be at stake, unsecured car loans normally incur higher interest rates because the lender faces higher risks. In effect, your monthly payments will be relatively high.

Taking car loans has a number of advantages. For example, you will get repayment terms without having to go through a lot of formalities. The interest rates paid on the loans are often not a very heavy burden.

Car loans are fairly flexible since they are customized depending on individual circumstances. The trick is to look for a good lender since these loans can make you attain your goal.
